Indescribable day

I begin the day 7 in the morning to help the kids to practice a couple more times before the actual service. I am glad everything went well and i think the kids did very well, except for the falling of the tree, but i am so proud of the kids for keep calm and continuing! I enjoyed my time spent with the kids and working with the youths. I have to admit that it was pure fun but sure tiring! :)

After dedication service, i hanged out with marian as she is going leave! I am so going to miss her, she is such a fun and bubbly person! Then head home for great time of party! I enjoyed myself very much, and I really wanna thank everyone who came. Thanks for all your presents too, i love them all! Yups, I dont really know what to say, but i am sure going to miss you guys like crazy!


Cellkids! This is our 5th year running, and sadly i am the first to leave you all. But deep down, i cant bare to leave you guys!

Korkors and marian! I always have loads of fun hanging with you guys, you all never fail to make me laugh, I am glad i got a chance to meet you all! Love ya all!

So what are we living for?

My serve group together with reflectors are putting up a skit for the fairfield methodist school. Our theme is whats the purpose in life. Sigh, in serve i am either known as the blur one or the bimbo. Well, thats my character in the skit, i am suppose to be a rich bimbo with the cool and most sort after guy in school. It's really funny till i laughed non-stop today.
Basically its about teenagers who yearn for different things in life. For the bimbo is her money and her boyfriend, the cool dude is his looks. The nerd is after a perfect score of A1s. Two competitive sportsmen after their sports achievements. And finally, the rock star, who yearns for popularity. But when they lost everything, what were they living for now?

Dedication service dance

Okay, you guys so must watch this! its a messy preview of the kids and youths dancing that are going to dance for dedication service! its extremely adorable! hahaha..thanks to jen's steps, sarah and i managed to survive the whole afternoon with the kids, teaching them the dance! hahaha...

Started guitar class today, had loads of fun!
Went to aussie open house at orchard hotel today, got more information about the university of queensland. yupps! pretty interesting:D

Cousin gathering



Had a family gathering at my cousin's new house which so nice! It's 4 levels high, and has many secret rooms, so COOL!:) We had a widespread of dishes which kinda made me fail my determination to lose the 2kg i wanted! hahaha...oh wells! May God help me! We watched a very sad movie which i forgot the title! but it is a must watch, if i am not wrong it quite a old movie but it was so touching, even my uncle cried! Once i find out the title i will let you all know! But the main storyline is about a reporter who goes all out to find out about drug dealers and made sure that justice is done! But during the process she got killed, and put her family in danger! Must watch!:D

In other news, my serve group is getting on pretty well! And i am still enjoying serve, althought i am being bullied EVERYDAY!:P There is something new to learn everyday, and feed myself with new daily bread:)

Serve

Now, what is serve all about? Serve is basically a 2 month programme where youths come together and explore what the bible has install for us. How we can apply it to our daily lifes and be a living example to those around us. It focuses on missions and prepare us for the joshua generation who will spread the word around!

Next, why join serve when they are loads of other fun activities to do? First of, serve is fun, and there is no doubt about that! I have been a christian for my entire life. Yet there was never a time where i yearn to read and study the bible everyday. To expand my knowledge and ask questions that i never thought i would actually be interested in. Here is an opportunity to learn, especially when you have small group with pastor Fu-man! woohoo! Back to the point, so i joined serve to discover the bible like never before. Secondly to uncover what it really means to be a servant leader, like what attitude he/she should have and so on. Finally, to reveal the secrets of the mission field and actually get to work with youths from other churches. It's a challange that i am willing to take:)

So what have i been doing in serve? For starters, we had games to break the ice between the churches. The following day we started our first two lectures which were on the The Call of God. We studied different characters in the bible and how they responed to God's calling. It was fascinating! My most favourite part of serve is to have group discussion and small group with pastor Fu-man and my fun loving group that is made up of totally different personalities! But that is what makes us laugh and gel together! With encouragement from one another, we will take this learning journey to the maximum of our ability.

How is my personal daily walk with God? Improving:) With worship, quiet time to begin the day with the right attitude. And bible study with the help of the bible reading plan and personal reflections to end of the day! Life cannot get any better if you are spending every minute with God. With lots to learn and more to look forward to, i think serve will be a life changing experince!

Lets just pray that this will not be only a peak of the moment instead that this yearning of discovering the Word will last for eternity.
