Saturday Night Fever:P

Such a cheesy title, I am running out of ideas! Anyway, I had a day packed with activities the whole day where I hangout with friends without my brother around. Not that it is a bad thing having him around, but it made me feel more independent in terms of me being able to travel around on my own in brisbane...

Anyway, I begin my day with saturday morning cartoons, felt GOOD! Haven't done that in a pretty long time. Watched really weird cartoons though, it was like a aussie version of japanese animation. Later on, there was like a barbie movie, it was super funny and I actually sat through it. It was exactly like a chick flick movie just in a cartoon form!

Later, I headed of to Queensland University of Technology for dance practice. Shekinah- my church's dance group have been preparing for the convention for a couple of weeks. I just joined them for the first time on saturday, so I pretty much had to catch up with everyone else, but it was extremely fun! I felt that I had a good exercise that day!:)

After that, my church friends tried to call me out for dinner and I was totally happy, like sure WHY NOT? Plus my friend offered to treat all of us to a nice dinner at chinatown (red light district) So for the first time in brisbane, I was out late (11.45pm) without my brother. Hehe.. Back to the dinner, my friend have been dreaming of eating fish for the past week, but no one wanted to go down to china town to eat, thus he offered to treat everyone, what a nice guy! We had icecream at a desert cafe, yummy orea cookies and honeycomb icecream! Oh! They tried teaching me pool, what a disaster! Long sticks with rachel's left hand just dont click!

In conclusion, I had buckets of fun on Saturday! Time for chemistry class:)

Unit Get Away

Unit get away is when out each unit gets together and spend time getting to know each other better, play stupid games, building closer bonds with one another. It was a two days event. My unit Judah 4 decided to split girls and guys on the first day and reunite the following morning.

Some of the girls feeling sleepy already

The girls in my unit came over to my place to hangout and stayover night. We cooked together and had a sumptious meal watching Herbie (the movie) hahaha...chick flicks. Anyway, after that, we played a super funny game. We split into two games, found a common ground between us and we had to act it out for the other group to guess. My group was watching chick flicks, so we acted out mean girls-plastics*(bimbo gang) we all couldnt stop laughing. Then we had show and tell, basically we brought meaningful to share with everyone else. I showed my collections of photos of my friends back home in singapore:) Later on, we simmered down and had girls talk all night long with chips and cheese crackers. And ended the night off we a romantic comedy - just like heaven.

All the girls together! Group hug:)

The next morning, the guys come over to my place. We started off the morning with worship and devotions. Following that we headed down to the park near my house to have BBQ lunch and a time of team building games such as spider webs, trust fall and capture the flag. Took a rest and continued with captains ball later on! It was sure tiring, it showed how unfit I was. But it was pure fun, I totally enjoyed myself. Had dinner at Miss India, yummy curry! It was some mango flavour:D Headed home to revise for chemistry test and rested till sunday and prepared for church!

Home Sweet Home:)
This is officially my first week since i moved into Joy's house:) Much more freedom to do what I want, and eat whenever I feel like it! The place is much cozier too! As you will be able to tell from the pictures! It is also a lot faster to get to school and I have so many friends staying in St Lucia. Basically almost everyone from my church stays around this area or the next 2 suburbs away. The food here is a lot better too! Mostly all the things I like and plus I get to drink soup at least once a week, just like back home:) Something tells me I couldnt ask for more! With such a cheap rent compared to others, I am getting more than I deserve!

So here is my cozy home:)

Love Actually: The greatest Love:)

Image hosting by Photobucket
Hanging on to Jesus, just like how a baby holds on to the parent...

Forever
I'll Worship at Your Throne
Whisper my own love song
With all my heart I'll sing
For You my Dad and King

I'll live for all my days
To Put a smile on Your face
And when we finally meet
It'll be for eternity

And Oh how wide You open up Your arms
When I need Your love

And how far You would come
If ever I was lost
And You said that all You feel for me
Is undying love
That You showed me through the cross

I'll worship You my God
I'll worship You my God
I love You
I love You
Forever I will sing
Forever I will be with You
Be with You

This song spoke to me during worship today! I just felt a feeling that I havent got a chance to feel for so long! Free from distractions, with God carrying me in His arms again. Love felt so real and stong! Suddenly, I feel God closer again! There is NOTHING in this life that can take the place of YOU, God. Take away all distraction away from my life, I just wanna focus on You and Your ministry here in brisbane.

Today, Pastor Wilson shared about the GREATEST LOVE:
1. Loving the unlovable
-In comparison to God's charcter- we would appear extremely unlovable to Him
-Yet Jesus loved us all so much that He came to seek us out
2. Loving with the ultimate sacrifice
-The ultimate act of love is to give one's life for another
-His death on the cross protrayed his everlasting love
3. Loving that brings the greatest impact

Dedicated to my Bestfriend!:)

Image hosting by Photobucket
You will NEVER be replaced:)

Happy birthday my dear:) Evelyn, I love so much! It is officially 10 years of great friendship! Time sure pass so quickly, in just a blink of an eye, both of us will finish university soon. I know the past year we didnt really get to spend much time together and now we are miles away, but you always have a special place in my heart no matter how far we are physically. You mean the world to me, we gone through so many ups and downs together already, nothing can beat that! I have enjoyed everyone of our sleepovers, pigouts, gossip sessions and shopping:) Its time for us to grow up, keeping those precious memories but discarding the bad ones. Deep down, no one else can ever replace your cheerfulness and smile, I love you dear! More than you can imagine, but God loves you even more. Take care and keep growing in the Lord:)

Specially for MARK(whom i forget his birthday)

What a memoriable 17th birthday, Thanks Mark!:)

Happy super belated birthday:) I thought maybe I should give a nice shoutout for being a terrible little sister to forget your birthday. This will make it up for now, when I come back, I promise it will be something way better (or at least i hope so)! Actually, I have known you for a really really long time, but got closer to you only the past two years! I remembered when I was seven, you were my grandpa in some family tree. Now you are my "korkor", what a jump in the generations, either you got younger or I got older. Oh wells, but it have been always great hanging out with you, be it MOVIES or dinner:) I just love your company, full of fun and laughter. Oh not forgetting your patience when you are teaching me chemistry! I gotta admire you for that:) Now that I am in aussie, there is like no one to go watch movie with me, no one to just chill with! Thats like really sad! But anyway, thanks for all fun times spent with you and the rest too! Missing your company here! :( Take care and continue to have fun (without me)! -Big Lumpy hugs- Hee..

Awesome Weekend!

1. Care group
We didnt have teaching today, we watched such a touching DVD of a guy's testimony. He makes me feel so fortunate with everything I have now. His name is Nick, he has no limps at all. No hands and legs, just one feet with 2 toes, but yet he serves God so faithfully! He is currently a motivational speaker all over the world. He trusts the Lord with all his heart and believes every word in the bible. "For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord. He made a joke that when he was young, he went to sunday school and learnt that, we were created in God's image, he went like "yeah rite!" but that didnt stop him from digging deeper into the word, he makes me feel so ashame of my faith. He shows that he can be as good as anyone, we watched how he live his daily life, and he can swim too! And he shared with us that his biggest dream is that God will send him a wife who will love him, but he also said that the saddest thing was he could never hug his wife or his children but he still believe that God will send the right one.

2. Sunshine Coast
It was the second official CCM activity that every unit gathered to head down to sunshine coast for a time of games and fun under the sun. We very worried for the past week because it was heavy downpour the past few days, but by faith we continued out activities and God blessed us with beautiful sunshine. Although it was too cold to go swimming, but we still played games along the beach. Before that, we head to a small town in sunshine coast which is a tourist attraction that sells handicrafts and loads of interesting accessory. I love the place and so will my sister actually, because the buildings are very english cottage style. I will let the pictures do the talking now, with an added explanation to each one. Like the always says, pictures paints a thousand words.

3. Church
A new term of chrisitan development school has begun. I skipped foundations and went on straight to knowing God's will. Yeah and its like normal school, with assignments and exams at the end of the course:S hehe...but yeah I am starting to learn a lot. There is prayer meeting tomorrow. Church is great, it is so focus on the word and I feel like I am learning a lot more!:) Keep growing! Someone shared today, which i thought was very meaningful:
Worrying doesn't add an extra hour to my life:)

End of fun and the cycle of school begins again...test begins next week! so FAST!

8:10:00 PM

God knows best:)

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,"
declares the Lord.
"As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts."
-Isaiah 55:8-9

Thats all i want to say for now, i will be back with sunshine coast updates soon! Take care all! I miss all of you guys-cellkids, little saints, korkors, cynthia!:( bahhh...the list just go on and on....

Weekend updates!

Had unit BBQ organised by Campus Christian Movement(CCM) which is now my current on-going mission trip. Basically all we have to do is just make friends with people, gained their trust, be a good living testimony and overtime share the good news with them. Its really fun! So our first event was to organised a BBQ for them! I made more new friends and I even met an MGS senior from class 1994. Hehehe... Had a really enjoyable time just chit-chatting and later played games!

Anyway, that was basically the main highlight of the weekend. Nothing really much to update about the weekend though, all I can say is that I have been emotionally tired. Something to look forward to this weekend, My church is taking a trip down to SUNSHINE COAST! Its going to take my mind of work and others things:)

This week, I have been getting the hang of school with the amount of workload and independent study I have to do. Unlike secondary school where your teachers nags non-stop. Discipline is like a main criterial to study in Foundations. After monday, I got tired physically, mentally and most of all emotionally. Presently, I am emotionless, I dont have any more tears left! I have been endulging myself with loads of work, even extra homework so I dont get my mind to wonder of things. I am trying to stay focus on just God, studies, family and friends. Thats all for now. I came to a conclusion that since my parents are paying for much for my studies, I my as well make the best of it and come back with a good degree or even a masters.

A big sigh let out! Suddenly, the air is becoming fresher and Brisbane is getting pretty cold, i think about 25 degrees. And my goodness, I have been excessively eating too much! Start to lose weight! Anyway, not much updates on school yet, but I am still enjoying business class, got to start preparing for my presentation next week:) We did a personality test today, and we are suppose to tell the class what sort of character we are like, I have learnt that it is very important in the business world to know each other's character, it helps prevent conflicts in companies. Oh and my research topic for psychology this week is BODY LANGUAGE! I have learnt so many interesting facts!

Anyway, off to do more research on Body Language. Bye people, I will update soon!

I love you, too much to make you stay, Baby FLY AWAY.
